His experience starts at Escolania de Montserrat (Boys’ Choir at Montserrat’s Monastery) where he took part in several concerts and recordings as lead singer. He completed his classical singing studies subsequently at Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (Music College in Catalonia) and an Opera Master Degree at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln (Cologne’s College for Music and Dance).

 

At present he is a member of the Cor de la Catedral de Barcelona (Barcelona’s Cathedral Choir) and is also usually working for Cor de Cambra del Palau de la Música ( Palau de la Música’s Chamber Choir).

 

His predilection for choral music should be underlined in his activity as a composer.Being knowledgeable of the instrument, most of his production is focused on choral music where he outstands with the first prize in the two categories of the International Contest of Choral Composition of the Palau de la Música in Barcelona.

His pieces encompass different styles and all kinds of formations, from works for solo instruments, works for chamber groups,  orchestra,  choir, organ, cobla group and also traditional instruments.  

 

Numerous formations such as  Cor de Cambra Francesc Valls (Francesc Valls Chamber Choir), Orfeó Català , Cor de Cambra Anton Bruckner (Anton Bruckner Chamber Choir), Cobla Principal de la Bisbal, Cobla principal del Llobregat, Cor de noies del Palau de la Música Catalana (Women’s Choir at Palau de la Música Catalana) , Coro Amadeus (Amadeus Choir), Jove Orquestra Simfònica de l'Anoia (Young Simphony Orchestra Anoia), among others, have performed his pieces.

 

He has received much recognition in contests all over the country that prove his works’ good projection and the promising future as a young composer.At the moment he is working with the Catalan publishing house FICTA that will publish all his choral work.
